Me too. I even shipped all of my books to him and asked him to sign them, which he was gracious enough to do.

I know folks are amazed at the prices of this book but when one really considers the material, breadth and quality of the book and the impact it has had on our hobby of the custom revolver, it does not surprise me at the value of a limited supply of one of the subjects most definitive books. Sure, you can download it but for some us old school type folks, the kindle et al devices are like a cold fish in hand when compared to a real high quality book. I know that for myself, this one work more than any other has influenced my custom project choices that have cost much more than the book itself. Shoot, I sold another gun just today to help finance another clone project of one of the custom revolvers shown in the color plates of the book. Which, once again will cost much more than the asking price of the book that so many of us seem amazed by. Just the humble opinion of a broken down old septic pumper.

I read a $9.99 ebook. Keep the book for good friends with clean hands. I have both as well, the hard copy for sentimental reasons and the e-book for handy reference.

I lost the dust cover and had a local company rebind mine. I wonder how much that decreases the value?

We are going to do one of his Colt SAA light weight guns. I have a USFA 45 Colt with a 5 1/2" barrel and one piece carved ivories that already wears a bisley hammer so it will go under the knife. I had a guy commit to buying a Colt 2nd generation 45 Colt 4 3/4" barrel earlier today so that will get the ball started. I am going to call Dan Love and see if I can talk him out of his retirement to duplicate the simple engraving like that on Hamilton's gun. Well at least see what it would cost to have it engraved IF I an talk him into doing it.

I have used this book as reference material extensively.
