Great story and Pics Robb!
when I was nine my Dad and I camped out for a week near Terlingua (west Texas) and hunted Lion. we never got one but the memories I made with my Dad on that hunt and many others are priceless to me.

Glad you guys got together to share the experience. Nothing like it.
I've been wanting to go around here. The toms are coming down right now to find mates.
Just don't look forward to the phone call at 2:30 in the AM saying they found a track and to get with it.

Man Greg, all I can say is tell them to call. While I did not want to take a cat on this hunt just so the focus would be on Rem getting one, I really want to hunt one down in Arizona or New Mexico where we hunt off mules and or horses. I want to get the elk hunt with the youngest son figured out first then work on trying to put something together for myself if finances allow. It is such a kick in the pants to see these younger guys get to chase some of their hunting dreams at an age when I had a hard time getting out the door at work to even come home for dinner.

When I was at the taxidermist picking up my oryx about 3 weeks ago there were 7 in the floor!
They've been slaying them.
