I'm thinking about buying a 7.5" Single Seven and have been reading a little about the cylinder length and which cast bullets will work. I like the looks of the 120gr Accurate Mold bullet and may buy the mold. Any advice from those with these guns? Thanks. EG

Yes. Better hurry. They are only building 500 7.5" models.

Better grab one while you can.. All three barrel lengths were sitting on the shelf here last time I looked. I'd guess that when the initial production is gone all that will remain is just a short paragraph in RENE..

Absolutely the most useful revolver introduced in my 50 years. Lots of choices for big bore lovers, not so much for the under appreciated 32s.
Can't answer your question about the bullet mold, but do feel there is too much made of the bullet choices. It seems pretty simple to me, just use a bullet that works in whatever gun you are loading for.
I agree with the above post though, get one while you can. I bought all three and the 7 1/2" is my favorite.

I have the 5.5" and love it. Get one, you won't regret it.

Axe,
do you think Lipsey's won't make a second run?
I thought if it was popular enough they'd keep it going, kind of like the bearcat shopkeeper.

I'm just thinking that they appeal to a very small segment of the single action shooters. You know how small a group single action shooters are. I'd think that the fact that they are still sitting on the shelf here is not a good indicator for additional production.

A 4 5/8" Single Seven does appeal to me, especially considering the difficulty in scrounging rimfire ammunition these days.
I would think any sixgunner with a reloading press would go for one.

My 7.5in Single Seven (factory case date Nov. 10, 2014) is great. I have fired 300 rounds thus far. Accuracy is outstanding, many 5-shot groups under 1.5 in at 25 yards. I am using Miha's 115HP in 327 Starline brass. The nose of this bullet is a bit long so I am crimping forward of the crimp groove. Seems to work fine. In my Single Seven, an OAL of 1.500 is right at the end of the cylinder. I am loading to 1.480 OAL without any issues. I am ordering a mold from LBT with a 0.275in long nose, GC, 120gr. I also have an Accurate mold, no. 31-105A (105gr, PB) that works well up to about 1100fps. These Single Seven's are simple fantastic - especially for the price. Lots of power in a small package. My 7.5in has nice balance. Next I am fitting some fancy walnut grips. Get a Single Seven before they are gone! Bill I'm thinking about buying a 7.5" Single Seven and have been reading a little about the cylinder length and which cast bullets will work. I agree the 120-grain bullet from Accurate Molds just fits the cylinder. I use the Redding profile crimp die but I have had no indication of trouble with this bullet jumping the crimp. I have not run any across the chronograph yet but I am looking for any accurate load between 1,200 and 1,300-fps.My preference is closer to 1,200 fps as I have found penetration to be pretty good using what most would consider to be soft bullets – no harder than 14 BHN. This is the Accurate Molds 120-grain bullet in the Single 7.

I realized the first picture does not give a good angle on the face of the cylinder. This one is not a lot better but some.

Any range more range reports using the Accurate 31-120s?
Did you order it to drop .314"? With your alloy what does it weigh?
That is a good looking bullet and I'm mighty tempted to have a mold made for my Single Seven.
I'm currently running the Lyman 311008 and the RCBS 32-98 SWC through my 32 Single Six and Single Seven and my Marlin 1894. In 327 I'm crimping both bullets on the front edge of the driving band. It has worked well but wouldn't mind finding a bullet that I can crimp into the crimp groove and keep the OAL under 1.500"
