Ok I have the Single Seven, I have a Lyman 311008 mold that shoots great in my GP 100 327 but my cylinder is too short in the Single Seven. Accurate molds has a 31-120s (327 H&R SP101)listed in their catalog does any one know if this bullet will fit in the Single seven with out crimping above the crimp groove. The measurements are blurry on my PDF Thanks for your help and boy do I need some

If it was me I would order a 2 or 4 hole mold from LBT to your exact desired deminsions and you will get the finest casting mold made. Also by having the crimp groove to allow the maximum length in your cylinder you will be able to optimize the case capacity and probably get the maximum accuracy from the gun as well. For a 327 I would probably get the gas check version over the plain base but if it is sized correctly for the gun plain based bullets would probably be fine as well.
I have molds from all of the major mold makers and LBT molds just cast easier and more consistanly than any other mold will. Just my 2 cents of course...

I have two of them and they are as good as any of the other custom molds I have made by various makers. You get what you pay for and it is a fast turn around. Wish they could go down smaller than a 30 caliber. Did you talk with them on the length you needed? That looks long to me unless the change up on it some how. Jeff

jsh I did not talk to them my gunsmith and I did some measurements and the 31-120s will indeed fit. we loaded up a dummy round that had a coal of 1.500 and it fit my single 7 fine.

We both got our molds in less than two weeks. Mold cast well. Mine is a two cut. Have loaded some but not shot them yet. Have high hopes for the 100-grain wadcutter.

I have two LBT molds and they cast nice bullets. I like the LBT sprue plate better than any other I have tried. I am not a photographer. Here is a picture of 4 culls – I have already sized all the keepers. I’ll try to get a picture of the Accurate molds 100-grain wadcutter next to an NEI 98-grain button wadcutter. I have never been able to get the accuracy I wanted from the NEI button wadcutter in my .32’s. On the right is the NOW 115-grain SWC which is a fine bullet in the GR100 and the Blackhawk but is too long for the Single 7 cylinder. The Accurate bulletsapears to have been made for the Single 7 as it fits the cylinder with little room to spare.

No, that's a Lyman collar button - Lymans 457130 - about a 140-grain bullet for the 45-70. It weighs about as much as a .45 caliber round ball The .32 caliber cartridges are small game cartridges for me. But I use other cartridges and rifles for small game too. I'll take a better picture of some bullets and put the NEI wad cutter up next to the 100-grain Accurate Molds bullet for comparison.
The February issue of Handloader has a good little article on loading for the Ruger Single 7. This article by Brian Pearce, discusses the minor problems of the 115-grain bullets, the deep seating required by the shorter COAL and the velocity potential left to some of the more traditional powders. There is a good comparison of factory load data for the 4 3/4" and the 7 1/2" barre; ;engths which is interesting. I have developed a like for Enforcer from Western powder along with IMR 300MP for use in the longer cylinders of the Blackhawk and GP100. My velocity energy goals still center around the 115- to 125-grain bullets at 1,200 to 1,300 fps. It is easier to drive the bullets faster with good accuracy but my preference is to keep my bullets inside raccoon and porcupine size critters with shoulder shots. I often shoot up into trees and in fields with domestic animals.
