My Dad and I went on an oryx hunt at the Armendaris Ranch, owned by Ted Turner in South-Central New Mexico 2 years ago and had such a great time we decided to go again this year. Here are my Dad and I with his 34" bull Here are me and my Dad and my Gal with my 37" Cow I still can't believe a 52 YO fat boy from Central NC is living the dream here in NM. Killed the Elk and the oryx within 2 weeks of each other within 4 hours of the house. Great guides don't always make the best photographers!

Doesnt New Mexico have a short season for free range public land Oryx as well?

They are all free range on Turner's ranch, White sands missile range and the surrounding areas. No Texas disease here!
There are tags available starting in April-December running for one calendar month for the off range oryx. There are 50 tags for each month.
They're available by draw that is in March (I think)
Private land tags are good for a month too and are over-the counter. $1300 and some change for Out of state hunters with a NM hunting license.
