Darn, I just learned that my son will not be out of school until June 5th. We plan on heading to our place there but likely not until the following week. Have fun.

Wish you could have made it Ed. Guys the gathering is getting closer all the time, we have one room left at the lodge & rooms available in town, if you want to have a fun time shooting, eating, visiting & swapping hunting stories give us a call. Those of you that are coming bring along any trading material you want to get rid of/swap, etc like moulds, dies, bullets, brass, whatever. Also hunting photo's, albums are fun to pass around. We will have 4 steel plate racks set up plus lots of other steel targets, both near & far.

Dang, it is getting close. I need to get to the loading room and crank out some ammo. I am looking forward to it. I'll find out how well I can handle the 30+ hour drive in my older age. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but I'm actually looking forward to the drive out - it's the drive back that I'm dreading. I used to drive out to Moab, UT every year - did it for 20+ years, on a couple of occassions twice a year. It's a good time to relax and reflect...my wife will be meeting me in SLC after the gathering, but she's going to fly.

All the rooms at the lodge are taken but there are rooms in town only 6-7 minutes away. We have shooters coming from Oklahoma, North Carolina, California, New Jersey, Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Georgia & of course Idaho. I'm sure I've missed a few & all are welcome. A friend from Utah emailed me quite a while back & somehow I managed to delete his message by mistake, I've been hoping he would drop me another email but haven't heard from him. I think he goes by nascar or something similar. Again, wednesday June 3rd is check in day, we will have a meet & greet gathering with 3-4 of us serving some pulled pork sandwiches with dutch oven taters & home made cinnamon rolls. Thursday morning I'll be doing sourdough pancakes with bacon & eggs for everyone. The other meals you'll be on your own but I would like to invite everyone to go to El Toro thursday afternoon or evening as a group for some great Mexican food. The rest of the time will be spent as you choose, we have a very nice shooting range & will have plenty of steel targets to shoot at. There is a 300 yd. covered rifle range with 6 shooting benches, a rimfire range, a longrange handgun silhouette range & a handgun range with 8 pistol bays. We will have lots of steel targets in the pistol bays includingg 4 plate racks. Plan on some friendly 2 man team plate rack competition, double elimination. Each team will have 2 full plate racks, plus 5 poppers, plus a stop plate that is a mini popper. Lots of fun & it goes very fast.....unless you get teamed up with a cross eyed bisquit eater from Utah!

Who from Oregon is going? If they're close enough to me, maybe they can hand carry some powder I wanted to give to the hero in the "Wounded Warrior" project Dick put together some time back...

Thanks, Ken. I sent you a pm. Maybe we can get this powder where it belongs.
Maybe Dick knows if our hero needs primers, too?

I'm looking forward to having all of you here. This is a family friendly play ground so we should all have some fun. The border patrol has been alerted and will let you in if you tell them that Dick and I invited ya-all here. They will be hiding behind the sigh that says "WELCOME TO IDAHO". I've been put in charge of lining up a manure spreader so we can make certain that it gets spread evenly around. We might need to call a break time from shooting to check if every one has enough to spread it each day of this gathering. See you in about a month. Steve

Hello Sal, glad you checked in, sorry I deleted you reply. We will make sure & have a spot for you & your wife & Callshot will help you get set up if you need help, glad you are coming. Also, anyone needing a generator, let me know as I have a real quiet Honda that someone can use if needed. Callshot can furnish the gas, he usually seems to have plenty! Spoke with Robb Barnes, he's going to try & make it over if he can get away from work, hoping it works out & you get a chance to meet him, great guy! I'm sure Daniel could use primers Douger if you want to send them with the powder, I'll make sure he get it & thanks for the generous offer.
Dick
