We've all heard the story of the cobbler's children running around barefoot, and the carpenter's house is never finished; and so it goes for Shuckmakers. The Mary Gun is a very special sixgun, and more about her can be read here.... www.barrantileather.com/Page_17.htmlGifted to me by a bunch of folks from across the country, (some whom I've never met), after my mother had passed away. The carved ivory stocks were soon added, finishing off my most cherished firearm. Ever since I brought the Mary Gun home from the gunshop, I wanted to put together a nice rig for her. I've built and used several holsters but never a fancy rig like she deserved. Most were prototypes or plain jane using rigs, with one of my Hank Sloan models being my go to rig. It has been a great shuck, offering protection and security while being very fast to work from. A little over 4 years has flown by, but I just never took the time...until now. I like to reserve my evenings and late night shop time for special projects, and I decided this week that I would build a rig just for the Mary Gun. Some of my good friends have been hounding me to build a fancy rig so that's what I did. A floral carved and dyed background Hank Sloan model is the new home for her. I won't retire my plain Sloan, but it won't be seeing quite as much time on the belt as this new shuck will. Mom would love it.

Good gravy, that is just breathtaking, Mr. Barranti! A truly outstanding and worthy holster for such an equally impressive sixgun. Indeed, a fitting tribute to your mother's memory.

Simply stunning. Combination of class and beauty. Gun too. I truly love the monogram panel---think it's the coolest I've seen, but you know I am a fanboy of hammered finishes, stripling fits fright in there, and with the ivory it's such a good contrast.

OH MY DOC, that is nothing short of heartwarming and spectacular all together. Made me pause and think of my Momma now gone all these years.

Sometimes its just the right time to do a special project, especially after 4 years. I'm sure you put a lot of love into that rig Mike, beautiful holster & gun!
