To those who were at the 'Holiday' and got to see/shoot the new .327, do you know the cylinder length? Will it take the heavier .327 slugs, ie., Fermin's Sledgehammer?

Hoping all of this is true I told my dealer to order both of the longer barrel models as soon as the become available.

When I spoke with that same Ruger rep about a 480 Bisley he smiled and said hang tight...

This really is good news, just look at all the views in the last couple of days, & making it with the 7 1/2" barrel is awesome. Sure hope everyone keeps asking for the 480 Bisley, it will happen & I know there is at least one factory gun.

If Ruger makes a Bisley chambered in 480R I'm ordering acouple right off the bat, seems like every-time Ruger builds a gun I want they discontinue it before it has a chance. I'm not holding my breath on a factory 480Ruger single action, they have been telling us for years the platform won't take it.

Amen Bigbores. I bought extra BFRs in 500 JRH and 475 Linebaugh when I heard they were being dropped. Really glad I did now.

As Terry and Bill alluded to, Jason Cloessner of Lipseys had 2 stainless 5 1/2" .327 7 shot Single Sixes at the Shootists Holiday, which a number of Shootists were able to try out. They are real. They live and breathe, sort of.

As someone has already pointed out you guys save your pennies and be ready to acquire what you want. 327 Single Six? 480 Bisley Blackhawk? We whip ourselves into a frenzy about them but the rank and file gun buyer could care less. I sitting here waiting. When they show up, if there are any left after I get mine, I'll let you guys know where they are.
