My Uncle gave me this Colt .38 a couple years ago. he told me he won it in a board punch game at a carnival back in the 60's. Usually when I think of a BBQ gun I picture a nice Colt SAA, but this one will surely qualify!!! Frank

I just have this one lonesome 4" Police Positive Special: Cool double history, Ed McGivern traded it to a friend that carried it in the Pacific during WWII. The friend gave it to me along with the 1st edition Fast & Fancy book & Heiser shoulder rig. 15 years later I STILL feel blessed to have received it. Yes, the holster was Ed McGiverns.

robl, that is awesome. Can you post some pictures of this set in it's shrine? Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting is the first hard bound book I bought many years ago on handguns. Did the holster come from Ed Mc Givern also?

I was thinking a 2" would be nice hog backup around here, that is, if Iget drawn for a tag (every tag in this state is draw only, kind of sucks)

2.5" Pythons with a round butt where a standard catalog item.
No wonder you are "no bears yet," black bear tags are still over the counter in AZ, last I checked. Head up to Four Peaks and glass in the early morning and late evening. Also rifle couse deer tags in Cochise County go wanting every year. Hunt Rucker Canyon on the South End of the Chiricahuas or over in the Dragoons.

OOOOOHHHHHH, maybe I'm just in the wrong part of the state, I just moved here a couple months ago and haven't really looked into hunting all that much, haven't really had the time, well, off to work for the day
