Over the past year I got silly about Colts. It started with a 3" DS which changed stocks like I change socks. I now have a pair of Shooting Aces for the girl but haven't put them on yet... Then, I ran into a pair of Cobras. First was the 1968 vintage. She needs only her box to be perfect. Then came the 1972 which, while imperfect, was a suitable candidate for actual carry. Here she is as she came to me + the Tyler T... and as she was up until a couple of weeks ago when genuine Colt Agent stocks replaced the Sile imposters... Then I ran into a big brother and got this Official Police (5" barrel) who also got a Heiser holster for riding around even though it spends most of the day bedside where my wife can find her if need be. All in the space of a year. Amazing because it seemed I never saw any Colt revolvers I liked and could afford.

Great looking Colts! Normally I'm more of a long barrel guy, but this little guy was in such fantastic shape & at a decent price, that I couldn't say no. He's my only Colt so far, a 1971 Lawman MKIII (sorry about the blurry pics & finger smudges on the gun)

Well I used to have more but now this is my only D-Frame. A 1927 rebuilt and finished and tuned 6".

My only OClt is a Police Positive 4" 32 Colt New Police, isn't that a 32 S&W Long under a different name?

Haven't tried on bunies, yet, but now you've got me thinking. I bought because at the range I used to shoot at we had what we called a "service revolver bullseye" match once a month and thta thing doesn't recoil with wadcutters loaded light.

My Uncle gave me this Colt .38 a couple years ago. he told me he won it in a board punch game at a carnival back in the 60's.

Over the past year I got silly about Colts. Amazing because it seemed I never saw any Colt revolvers I liked and could afford. Wow Hobie does that sound familier.I have always been a Smith guy till I picked up this rough ole army special in 38 spl. Remaining finish is beyond patina and closer to old fudge and the front sight tweeked to poa but it times like a Smith and shoots where it's pointed. I was hooked so I figured I needed something a little newer. BINGO , a 357 trooper. Running low on finish and oozing with "character"but affordable it was a natural. They have now been joined by another Army Special in 32-20 and a police positive in 38S&W and woe is me ,I'm starting to look at nicer, newer Colts. It was simpler when I just liked Smiths.
