My supervisor hunts whitetail each year in central Kansas and is looking for a spot in western Kansas to hunt this year for mule deer. I'm sure he'd jump at a hog hunt as well. He's an avid ethical and experienced bowhunter, cleans up his own mess and won't screw up someone elses hunt/stand. He is a farmer here in Kentucky, hunts his own land, but goes to Kansas to get away from the grind and has references from the guy he hunts on out there. If anyone knows of someone who will rent out a spot out that way, let me know and you and he can work out the details. I'm just the messenger. thanks, Joe

I don't know the rules on mule deer here for non residents. It's tough to draw a Muley firearm tag as a resident. With archery, it may be different. I think you have to draw a whitetail tag then you can be put in a limited lottery for Muley. You'll have to do some checking on that. You could call Newley at the Chain Ranch down in Canton OK. They could possibly have some Muley hunts here and would know the ends and outs of it. They have a good bit of land leased here for hunting in KS. There are no hog hunts here unless it's a fenced operation and I can only think of one out near Dodge City in Ford that was run by Lee Hawes but I haven't talked with Lee in a few years so I don't know if he's still doing them or not.

Thank you very much...I'll pass it along. It's a starting point. Maybe he can get squeezed in.
