SIXGUN SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN REFINISHED AND TUNED IN THE DISTANT PAST. THIS OLD SIXGUN LOCKS UP TIGHTER'N DRUM. IF SOMEONE DID REFINISH IT HE WAS A MASTER AS THE BLUING IS PERFERT AND ALL LETTERING IS AS NEW. I'VE HAD THIS GUN FOR MANY YEARS AND THATS THE WAY I GOT IT EXCEPT FOR THE IVORY GRIPS. I HAVE CARRIED IT FOR PERSONAL PROTECTION AND IT SHOOTS VERY WELL. MB

I've learned something new,or been reminded of something I forgot. It looks like a grand old gun,I really admire the workmanship in the older guns.

Great looking old New Service. I own a couple but none that look anywhere near that good.

Nicest NS of any caliber I've ever seen. The Ivories make that blued gun-JUMP. Love the threepersons holster in the background.

I missed one in that same configuration at a local shop for $600 just a few weeks ago. Not as nice as yours, but who cares for that price?

Hi Mike, BEAUTIFUL iron you got there Mike! I thought I knew my handguns, and for the most part I still think I do...But I didn't know Colt had made any double action handguns in .44 Spl or .44 Russian. I knew of the Anaconda, but not your model there ? Take Care, Chris

Chris you make me feel OLD!!!
I had a hankering for a New Service from about age 14 when I first discovered Skeeter Skelton's writing. MB: That is a beautiful gun, it reminds me of the Steve Harrett .44 Russian New Service Skeeter wrote about.

I knew of the Anaconda, but not your model there ? Take Care, Chris A LOT OF YOUR SIXGUN EDUCATION IS LACKING. YOU NEED TO DO SOME RESEARCH. YOU MIGHT START WITH BOOKS LIKE "GUN DIGEST BOOK OF THE .44"; "SINGLE ACTION SIXGUNS"; "SIXGUNS BY KEITH" "STD CATALOG OF SMITH & WESSONS"; "THE MODERN REVOLVER"; " PISTOLS A MODERN ENCYCLOPEDIA"; "FIGHTING HANDGUNS" .....
