Nice buck. And opening weekend was down right brutal. My youngest son killed an 8 point that Sunday morning and he had to hold it still in the tree while I skinned it.

Groo here Deer "NICE" Just a suggestion try a lighter bullet on deer. There is just not much in a deer to stop a bullet. We shot a buck with a 320gr hard cast SSK bullet 44mag one year. Took 5 to anker him and all but one went clear through. [the one found a longggggg Texas hart shot ] J D Jones stated that for deer , a 200gr bullet was more than enough. In a 454 a 260 would be more than needed. The Partition most likely blew off the nose [ big entrance hole] and the base went through [smaller exit hole] Ok for bigger game , not so much lighter stuff. You got him Good enough!!!!!!
