Other than the mountain guns and the special runs like the classic series, which DA revolvers did S&W chamber for 45 Colt?

I know of the 25-5, I have one and it's a great revolver. Oh, and of course it's stainless brother the 625-5.

They also made a run of my favorite, the 25-7. It had a 5 inch untapered barrel, an unfluted cylinder and was finished in matte black. Amother one that I wish I'd held on to. Another uncommon variant is a 25-9. It was a twin to the 25-5 but they got the cylinder throats right on them. Like Colt SAA's, the 25-5 throats were oversized. Best Regards, ADP3

Now, were all of the model 25's 45 Colt guns or were most of them 45ACP? And if they weren't all 45 Colt, then is the cylinder still long enough to to rechamber?

the 25-2 (used to be called the 1955 Target) is 45ACP it has differnt head spacing to accommodate moon clips or Auto Rim Cases, and cannot simply be re chambered to .45 Colt. the 25-2 are fine guns as is please, if you have one don't ruin it.

don't have one, been thinking about a 45 Colt DA gun to match the SA and Levergun projects in 480 Achilles long
