I've had very good luck with my Puma/Rossi M92 rifles. Now, however, the Pumas are being made by Chiappa in Italy, instead of Rossi, and are more expensive.
I'm in the market for a 20 incher in .45 Colt, but could use some insight from anybody that can give me a heads-up on whether the Chiappa version is worth the extra dinero. I use Steve Young's video to tune them, along with his safety replacement plug and steel follower, so if the guns are similar to start with, I'd rather save the money to buy Steve's parts.

I think you ca nstill get a Rossi made gun from somebady (I think they're actually calling them Rossi again if memory serves) but you might want to ask around on the leverguns forum

I would give Steve a call and ask him.I have heard that the Chiappa guns were better looking outside but inside presented a lot of trouble.Call Steve ,he will be very frank about what to buy.
