Thanks all. I don't have any other picures as my wife just snapped a few. I won't be home until September so it's killing me not seeing them up close. It was a ten day hunt outside Golden BC for both black and grizzly. The black is a rug shown below. I had the taxidermy work done locally in Cranbrook as the gent does loads of bears. He put a bit too much snarl in the mouth of the grizzly but other than that he looks exactly how he did when I came upon him. I was using my 338-06 loaded with 225 gr Accubonds at 2650 fps. Here's the rifle, a lightweight I put together in '95 for elk hunting.

Outstanding grizzly mount. Looks really classy. Too much snarl? Only you would know that...if I was you, I'd keep that under my hat! ;-)

The stock is a take off from a KS 375 H&H I had. The rest is a Wallyword synthetic ADL rebored by Cliff LaBounty to 338-06 with Talley LW's.

No, I don't head shoot. On impact he spun around trying to bite at the exit wound doing fast 360's probably 5 or 6 times before dropping. Pretty wild.

Looks like it was a great hunt and the snarl looks appropriate . I ask because my brother in law took an 8 pointer this past year where the first shot rolled him and the second shot hit him in the jaw, far back close to the joint. Basically took out his wisdom teeth. He had it mounted and you would hardly know. Good taxidermy sure is an art!
