I picked this baby up at Gander Mountain over the weekend! I've never bought a gun there because their prices are usually comical, but this one the price was right and my will power was low. Any who, here's a pic! That's why we're all here, the pictures! Here's the target. Most of you have seen before that I insult the gun when i don't use a rest! Top, center target: First five shots of 454 in my life! Then left top with a different load, then left bottome one handed. Then center bottom with about 15 rounds in it! The left target is my 38spc S&W. Had to have something to fight back the flinches! The top-right target is about 42 rounds of 38! Bottom right was double action. Range was a full 7 yards, off-hand obviously! It's going to be a lot of fun to learn to shoot this new gun accurately.

Congrats on a great deal in a fine sixgun. From Gander Mtn, no less!
I would recommend getting one of the bases from FA that fit into the rear sight cutout in the topstrap and get a good scope or red dot. Along with a good rest, only then will you really be able to see the accuracy these guns are capable of.
I'd pick up some Trail Boss or a medium burn rate powder (Unique or equivalent) and mix in moderate loads with the full tilt stuff. It's easy to pick up a flinch with the Casull because of all the blast. Although, if you get yourself a good .50 bore or a .475 Linebaugh, that 454 will seem right tame!

What is comical is how badly I want one and can't balance the price being right and the will power being low enough. Steve

FUNNY, I now have one. The price was just right and availability just right when the planets all lined up. Pictures later, after I get some targets with holes in them. Steve

I always thought they were high priced until I bought one and used it.You get What you pay for,and it is worth every penny in my opinion. If you are thinking of buying one,I would say go for it and don't look back.

For the quality they have, their not expensive. Worth the price. That is IF you got the clams. I am afraid that all of my other hand cannons will go on strike. Every time I open the safe, I hear them talking to each other about organizing a walk out and about not being accurate like they used to be.

Looking forward to your pictures callshot! Unfortunately, my guns are also rebelling a little. Their accuracy has declined. I'm just going to have to whip them into shape shouting "There's no FA in TEAM!"
I'll try to post another picture later! I took her out again this weekend for another little workout. The gun did it's best to put every bullet thru the same hole, but i wouldn't let it. I don't want the other guns to get TOO upset!

Well, here's a quick pic off my phone! Two different loads, the lower "group" was a warm factory hornady load, 240gr at 1900fps. I'm amazed that it shot so much lower, every other load i'd tried had been dead center! Another group at a challenging 7 yards!(it makes me feel better about my shooting!)

What will surprise you even more is, with a good optic, it'll shoot groups like that at 100 yards. Your addiction has begun and it only gets worse.
